Renting a Condo
How Does It Work?
SHORT TERM VACATION RENTALS AT ROYAL MAUIAN ARE LEGALLY PERMITTED BY MAUI COUNTY ZONING AND ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THE PROPOSED LEGISLATION IMPACTING SOME OTHER COMPLEXES.
Unlike a hotel, we have no central rental office or single management company to contact. Our Office and Staff do not manage any rental arrangements or assist with individual unit rental inquiries. The office in the lobby is the Homeowners Office which primarily manages the business of the Homeowners Association. It also issues parking permits to guests and collects the guest registration and house rules acknowledgement forms. Each owner decides whether to use a management company as their rental agent or to manage their own rental reservations. See below for links to websites for rental condos.
RENTAL RATES
Rental rates vary depending on the time of year and the individual condo. Each owner sets their own rates. Please see the owner’s or management company’s website or listings at an online booking service for specific rates and charges. The State of Hawaii charges an excise tax and transient accommodation tax. Maui County also has a County transient accommodation tax.
CHECK IN / OUT & PERSONAL SERVICES
The person or company from whom you rent is your host for all arrangements and requests you may have before, during and after your stay. All terms of the rental are decided by them. This includes early/late check in/out, assisting with concierge-type services, providing supplies within the condo (soap, paper goods, etc.)
